For many otakus out there, such as myself, a long three year wait is finally over. It’s something we all’ve been wanting for a long time and quietly, just really quietly, it finally happened.
On 21 May 2008 the latest installment of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, titled “Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody,” aired in Japan.

This is a radical decision for me. I’ve been out of the web-design loop for awhile now and find myself wanting to do more.
But with my current knowledge of the internet and not catching up with Web 2.0, I’m pretty much dead in the water. I don’t like joining social networks (except digg.com and Twitter) because it doesn’t serve much of a purpose for me. Maybe I’ll join social networks but only as a way to spread word of my blog.
As for the site redesign, I want it to focus on my otaku side, really just stuff about the Anime I’ve watched and the Manga I’ve read.
The site move, however, is a different story. I haven’t gotten traffic on this site at all and may probably never, so I might move to a mainstream blogging site like WordPress (the offical WordPress.org site) or Blogger. If it helps motivate me to create and push out new content, then I’ll do it. Plus it revolves back to the whole Web 2.0 thing; I’ll have a new playing field to work with and new tools to do it.
Well, that’s about it for now.
